I recently read David Heartless. Reynolds’s new release “Abe: Patriarch Lincoln in His Times.” That self-described cultural biography is prevalent (932 pages of text), educational and excellent at placing Lawyer within the context of grandeur political, economic and social cross-currents of his era.
